Vice President of Operations

Santiago Pacheco is the Vice President of Operations for Index Fresh, Inc. He has been working in the food and beverage industry for over 34 years. Santiago enjoys mentoring team members, and in the mentoring process, he always learns something new.  He oversees the packing house in Bloomington, Distribution Center in Pharr, Texas, Compliance & Food Safety, and all 3PLs/ripening centers across the US. He obtained his MBA from Pepperdine University and his Undergraduate degree from DeVry University.

Carlos Vasquez

Carlos Vasquez

Operations Manager

Carlos comes to Index Fresh with over 15 years of experience in the food and beverage industry and a diverse background in warehousing, transportation, supply chain planning, and manufacturing. He began working in the Planning Department in 2019. Getting deeply involved in plant operations and coordinating 3PL activities contributed to his promotion in 2020 to his current position as Operations Manager for the West.

Carlos has worked on optimizing plant operations while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. His focus is on helping maintain a broad-scope “all-in” mentality to provide superior returns to growers and trading partners while delivering safe, high-quality fruit to our customers.

When he’s not directly focusing on all things Avocado, Carlos enjoys spending time in nature, wrenching on classic cars, and spending time with friends and family.

Jenny Garcia

Jenny Garcia

Food Safety and Compliance Manager

In March 2018, Jenny joined the Index Fresh team with over 10 years of experience in the Food industry. She is a PCQI, HACCP Trainer, Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and PSA Trainer.  Jenny ensures that all Food Safety Systems & Regulatory Programs are in place for the production and storage of products manufactured under clean, safe, and wholesome conditions. She oversees the FSQA operations in our Texas and California facilities, monitors our 3PL’s and most importantly, ensures the highest customer service for our clients. Jenny states that her favorite part of the job is servicing our clients,  co-workers, and packers.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from UCR and is very knowledgeable in all things Food Safety.
